Statement of Faith |
We acknowledge as the head of our congregation the holy, triune God who is absolutely sovereign over all things. We acknowledge Jesus Christ, God incarnate, Prophet, Priest, and King, as our Savior through His atoning and substitutionary death on the cross. We believe that God's relationship with His people is based on a covenantal structure. We look to the infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God in the Holy Scriptures and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit as directing our efforts in this world. We embrace the great solas of the Reformation: Scripture Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone, and To God Alone Be the Glory. We believe the Doctrines of Grace of the historic Reformed faith. We believe preaching should be the Christ centered exposition, application and proclamation of the Word of God. We recognize two sacraments: Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe society matters and that we should be concerned about the Law of God in society at large. We believe our lives should be lived coram Deo, in the presence of God. We subscribe to the Westminster Standards as containing the system of doctrine as taught in Holy Scripture. |
